New Camera

May 11th was suppose to be a wonderful day in my life. You know ... it's Mother's Day, and I *do* have 3 kids. It was NOT so wonderful (DO NOT go to the Picture People on Mother's Day to get pictures of your kids made .....), but
we won't get into all of that today. That day, I received a card from my 3 precious angels promising me a paintball gun for a gift. Now, before you laugh - YES, I do want one. I love to play. It's a game of constant challenge and a way to better myself each time. However, Mother's Day comes in May. June, July, and August in Georgia are not the most .... comfortable ... months to play paintball. It's hot, muggy, and buggy. I told the boys (because Jaydin couldn't care less) that I'd rather get the gun and accessories for my birthday and to get a camera for Mother's Day. It took a couple of weeks to decide this, though. I really didn't want to hurt their feelings, and they really want me to play with them when they go. I actually think they want me to have a gun so that there's more of a chance that they will go more often. LOL! Anyway, they took that news very well. We were out on Saturday, and I glanced at the cameras while we were at Sam's Club. WOW!! I found the Olympus 1030 SW. What a camera!!!! It's small, but so powerful, and - get this - I can take it UNDERWATER!!!! I'm so excited about it.

Anyway, all that leads up to the fact that I took my powerful little camera outside tonight to take a few shots.

Jaydin found a dandelion.

This is the inside of a day lily. It's so cool that I can get a shot showing the pollen on there. This one was on super macro.

These tiny flowers are in our yard. Yeah, they're weeds, but they're pretty for the shot. They'll get cut down when the yard guy gets here on Wednesday.

One of my pink Zinnias (I think...).

Here's a white one, too. I love being able to get these macro shots.

No underwater shots yet, but give me time. The water in the pool water is still a *little* chilly, but I suspect that will change in the next couple of days when the air is suppose to be above 90ยบ each day this week. I will check in later! Have a wonderful week!!

Great pictures! Now that you have "the" camera you should participate in Wordless Wednesdays so you can show off your images to more folks.

The weather has been great, hasn't it. I sat out in the sun yesterday to create a new tanline, and Rachel did the same today.

I can't wait to see all your other images as you continue to "live the life".........love that title. :)
