Nothing Brings Family Together ....

Like weddings or funerals. True, isn't it? Yesterday morning, my aunt went to be with the Lord. She's been ill and in a nursing home for the last 5 years, and she's been in very bad shape most of this year. Her heart and lungs were strong, but her kidneys were giving up the fight. It's a blessing to know that she's in a much better place and is in no more pain.

We went down to my cousins' house yesterday (my aunt's daughter) to spend the day with them. None of us believe in making it a sad time, so we enjoyed the day watching the kids play. It was a beautiful day for it, and I'm very glad I had my camera.

Jaydin found the swing set almost as soon as we got there. :)

Jaydin's smile while she got ready to go down the slide. Beautiful day wasn't it??

When you saw one, you usually saw the other one .... They even wore clothes that matched, but we didn't realize that before we got down there.

Caitlyn running through the grass.

Our lizard friend wanted to play on the swing set.

Some of the faces of Caitlyn....

And what she did with the clover she picked ....

Yes .... it's hanging out of her mouth. She ran all over the place like that.

Two peas in a pod. I'm just glad the pod didn't fall into the lake.

Jonah during the day....

Skipping rocks.

Driving?!

Jonah doesn't care much for dogs. Can you tell??

Jaydin and the baby chicks. My cousin's son and daughter is in 4H and are raising chicks for that program. I think they said that they have 27 chicks all together. Jaydin was brave and held one ... for a minute. :)

Some of them are just starting to get their combs.

The country road my cousins live on. Told you it was a beautiful day.

I love purple flowers.

I rarely get the chance to photograph a thistle. I don't have any around me, and they really don't last very long in the spring. My cousin had one in her yard. Such an interesting flower ....

on such a vicious looking plant!!!!!

One last picture for the day....

Caitlyn, BLOW the dandelion. Don't EAT it!!!!!!

Live the life, and live it well.

In memory of Woo. I love you and will miss you.
