We got up and got moving on our first day in Orlando. We went to Downtown Disney for breakfast because Jaydin had an appointment at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique around 10:30 AM. The Boutique has 2 locations - one in the castle in Magic Kingdom and the other in Downtown Disney located in The World of Disney. Because we weren't going to the park for the day, we chose Downtown Disney. Mom, Jaydin, and I made tracks to BBB while Mark and Jonah went to the 'Design Your Own T-shirt' store across DTD from the World of Disney. When we arrived at the boutique, we weren't really sure what to expect. It was a Thursday, so I didn't think there would be a full house - but there was. We checked in and changed our planned 'package.'
Our hostess walked us back to the dresses so that Jaydin could choose.
I really liked the Tinkerbell one or the Cinderella one that brought out Jaydin's eyes, but after going through all of them, It was obvious that her mind wasn't going to be changed once she chose, though. You could see it in her eyes. She chose the Sleeping Beauty/Aurora dress. We questioned why she chose that one. The answer, of course, was "because it's pink." Well ... duh. LOL! :) She does love pink.
She was shown a dressing room and told to dress.
When we let the lady know that we were done, she informed us that we were going to be given a "Magical Moment." WOW!!! I KNEW what THAT meant!!! Magical Moments are special in Disney. She told us that Jaydin was going to be done in the front window of the store. WOW!!! She would be in front of everyone. How cool is that? :)
Jaydin was robed and crowned. Then, she was escorted through the store.

Jaydin wasn't quite sure how to handle all of that, but she didn't balk. They took her to the chair in the front of the store.

The girls are allowed to choose the type of "princess" that they become. I believe there are 3 - fairy tale, diva, and pop princess. Dressed in her beautiful Aurora dress, Jaydin chose .... pop princess. LOL!! Funky hair, here we come. Oh my.
As she sat in the chair, I took pictures - of course. :) She, for the most part, was very serious. I did manage to get several good, smiling shots of her, though.

It was interesting to watch how Marjorie (a very famous stylist at BBB!!!) did Jaydin's hair. With a generous sprinkling of Pixie Dust

and a "Bibbity, bobbity, boo!," Jaydin was transformed .....

She was, indeed, the most beautiful princess ever. (and she always will be)
We went from BBB, after gathering her clothes and all of her goodies, to her personal photo shoot. I will post a couple more of these once my PhotoPass CD gets here (I was hoping it would already be here, but ...) in the next few days.

That was just the first few hours of our day. Part 2 of this installment is coming soon with reports on Mark and Jonah's trip to the T shirt shop, lunch at TRex, and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2009. :) Stay tuned - same bat time, same bat channel!! :)
Live the life, and live it well.
