She is SO proud of her machine. It's not a "child's" machine. It's just a low-level adult machine. She's thrilled with it, though. Please excuse her hair ... it was one of our all-day at-home days. Love those. :)
She's ready to go!! She's done great learning where to put her hands. I did the peddle on this one because neither of us were really sure about how fast it would go since it was a new machine.
Here she is with the finished pillow. She made it to give her grandfather for his birthday. He was SO proud of it. He's shown it to everyone!! :) She's so excited knowing that.
The same day that the princess completed her first pillow, I conquered my new embroidery machine. Here's one of the projects I completed that day.
I should have used a different color thread, but it's what Jaydin wanted.
And here's how I have my sewing area set up. I have my Pfaff machine set up with the Brother embroidery machine (it's a sewing/embroidery machine, but will stay up as just an embroidery machine for me) right beside it.
This is a picture of Jaydin with her grandparents. The pillow is on the right in the picture.
This picture adds Jonah to the mix. :)I think she did a great job with her first pillow. Since that day, she's bought a lot more fabric (much to her dad's dismay ...) and made another pillow (for her oldest brother). She will be working on several more pillows in the future, and I will be working on some shirts for her. :)
Next time, I'll show you how much snow was left a week after our snow/ice event on January 9.
Live the life, and live it well.
