365 Project - Day 91 Gardening

It's been around since almost the beginning of time. It's the first job that God created. Adam was forced into it due to his disobedience, but many of us do it because we enjoy it. Gardening. :) My dad liked to have a garden. He had a big one, too. I have a garden ... it's actually a collection of 8 raised beds. And I've been waiting weeks for it to be warm enough to plant. Today was the day! My kids and I spent the afternoon preparing the ground after a harsh (for Georgia) winter and planting the plants I already have. We got most of them planted. It was almost 80 here today, so we were working in shorts and tank tops. That being said, we're suppose to get another freeze next week.

My sketch today is about gardening. It's pretty simple ... and honestly, I only planted one flower today (a new rose bush!). I do so love watching the garden grow and harvesting the wonderful foods. My daughter loves to pick broccoli and eat it right there in the garden. The whole process has been so good for my kids and for my family.

Adam probably got a little tired of gardening, but I'm happy that God has allowed it to be one of my hobbies. :)

Live the life, and live it well.
